The Tipperary Dance Festival Masterclass Programme has become the Pro Sessions Programme. A unique opportunity for a close encounter in the studio with international artists at Tipperary Dance Festival. This is your chance to explore their distinctive approaches to creative and choreographic processes.
Alexandre Iseli and Murielle Elizéon, directors of Tipperary Dance (IRL) and Culture Mill (USA), respectively, are choreographers strongly influenced by their long trajectory as performers. Murielle Elizéon will also moderate In and Between on 09 October.
In this Pro Session, Murielle Elizéon and Alexandre Iseli will share embodied tools for cultivating presence in dance performance. They will work with the activation of weight and the sensory sphere as key elements for taking movement beyond mere gesture, using what they call the performer's technique in service of a deeper form of expression.
This workshop is inspired by Alexandre and Murielle's current research process for the creation of a duet entitled Tremors.
