Dancing together in the new reality - Connecting and being together safely - John Scott, Choreographer/Artistic Director of Irish Modern Dance Theatre
John Scott’s workshop is about creating and finding choreographic universe using movement material as a means of dancing together and connecting in the new pandemic environment. Scott, known for tireless experimentation, has created several group works during the pandemic, using social distancing, observation and sense awareness as an inspiration rather than a limitation, finding new ways of dancing together in a safe space. Scott utilises techniques he has learned from his own research and his performances with choreographers/artists as varied as Oona Doherty, Meredith Monk, Sara Rudner, Thomas Lehmen and The Living Theatre. Open to all technical levels.
