The masterclass focuses on expansion within the body and into space. Our main premise is to extend the limbs away from the centre whilst staying grounded. We will move and travel in relation to the distances within our body and between our body and the surrounding space. By playing with off-balance and counterbalance, we discover an expansive physicality and a sense of freedom.

The class begins with a gentle guided movement research to awaken and articulate the entire body. We then carry this experience into the technical part of the class with exercises and phrases rooted in floorwork, release technique, ballet fundamentals and ideas from Countertechnique. Conditioning elements such as strengthening and stretching help us access our full potential.

We likely close with improvisation, giving time to individually explore and digest the material. The aim is to dance with intention in order to leave a powerful imprint in space.
