Trust can be invaluable to any creative process.
Recognising instinct and attuning ourselves to intuition can be a revealing step towards understanding the mechanisms of trust. And by extension can be a necessary condition for establishing the limits of commitment that we can offer to any given situation. Trust in oneself, trust in our colleagues, trust in those that we work for.
Lack of trust harbours discontent, malice and other negative feelings that can disrupt our creative flow.
How do we develop self-trust in order to meet challenges with perseverance and resilience? How do we encourage trust amongst a group as a foundation for a supportive environment? How can we commit to trusting authority figures, while maintaining our integrity as individuals?
In this masterclass we playfully approach situations of discomfort, risk and danger while searching out the conditions for Trust. We work with observation of judgment and intuition, and ask how this informs our availability to trust ourselves and others. We explore with and from the moving body, in order to treat this subject as a physical practice rather than a purely theoretical exercise.
