Fabian Riess is originally from Vienna. He received his dance training in classical and contemporary dance in London and at the University of Music and Performing Arts (HfMDK) in Frankfurt am Main.
Since 2020 Fabian has been working as a freelance dancer and choreographer based between Munich, Berlin and Vienna, with engagements throughout Germany. He has performed in works by Johannes Wieland, Iván Pérez and Emanuel Gat.
Fabian co-founded the collective Riess Neustadt together with Tasha Hess-Neustadt, where he focuses on his choreographic work within a collaborative context. Their collective work has been shown in Schwere Reiter Munich, Gallustheater Frankfurt, Delphi Space Freiburg and Tanzzentrale Nürnberg.
Fabian is a certified yoga instructor and works as a political educator and researcher for Rosa Luxemburg Foundation Berlin.
