This Death Café will be hosted by dancer and artist Solène Weinachter together with poet, bodyworker and celebrant Lisa Fannen, as an extension of the experience and reflection proposed by the piece AFTER ALL (performance on 12 October, The Source Arts Centre)
The Death Café is a space to share experiences, feelings or questions around death in a welcoming and non-judgemental environment. It is a dedicated time for people to gather to discuss any aspects of death and dying that they wish to. People are also welcome to just come and listen with no pressure to contribute.
It is not a space that offers grief support or counseling, but follows in the tradition of the Death Cafe movement (that began in the UK in 2011) and aims to host an accessible, respectful and confidential space in this group-directed conversation.
There will be some time after the death café to drink tea together, and for any further informal conversations if desired.
