Jack has been working as Tipperary Dance’s communications and marketing manager.
Through Jack’s work in marketing for arts and culture they have a deep passion for connecting people to the richness of creative expression, and delighted to bring that passion to Tipperary Dance. The arts are not just about performances or exhibitions; they are living, breathing experiences that open doors to imagination, community, and belonging. Working in this field allows them to share the incredible range of creative pursuits happening all around us, and they are constantly inspired by the power of dance and performance to reach people in unique and transformative ways.
Their career has taken them on an exciting journey across Ireland’s cultural landscape, where they have supported festivals, galleries, and community organisations in making the arts more accessible, visible, and inclusive. Most recently, Jack has worked with Promenade, Creative Places Tipperary Town and the Hunt Museum, contributing to projects that bring artists and audiences together in meaningful ways. From shaping digital communications and marketing strategies, to coordinating events and audience engagement campaigns, their work has always been about celebrating creativity while ensuring that everyone feels welcome to take part.
Jack began his career rooted in community arts, where they facilitated workshops and supported projects that encouraged people to explore their creative potential. Over time, Jack developed a strong focus on communications and public engagement, combining their background in visual communication and design with their training in youth, arts, and community development. This unique combination has allowed Jack to bring both creativity and strategy to my roles, whether they are designing content, leading a campaign, or welcoming visitors at an exhibition.
Some of the highlights of their career have included managing marketing campaigns for new multidisciplinary arts festivals, coordinating inclusive outreach programmes, and developing communications strategies for national and regional cultural organisations. Alongside this, Jack has also been deeply committed to community-led initiatives, including founding Gender Rebels Cork, a peer-support service for trans and non-binary individuals. This work reinforced to them how powerful creativity can be as a tool for visibility, empowerment, and connection.
Working with Tipperary Dance is an especially exciting opportunity. The festival is a space where artists, audiences, and communities come together to celebrate dance as an art form that speaks to everyone, regardless of background or experience. To be part of this journey, supporting artists, amplifying their voices, and inviting new audiences to discover the magic of dance is something they feel genuinely privileged to do.
What drives Jack is the belief that the arts are for everyone. Whether through dance, visual art, performance, or community projects, creative expression has the ability to transform lives and build bridges between people. Jack hopes that, through their work with Tipperary Dance, they can help more people encounter those moments of inspiration and connection.
