Stace Gill

Stace is a multidisciplinary artist and co founder of Dance production house Flora Fauna Project with Choreographer/Dancer Maria Nilsson Waller. She was the recipient of Dance Ireland’s HATCH residency award in 2017.

She has been releasing music professionally under the names OCHO and The Sei for over 12 years.  In November 2017 her collaboration with Swedish Choreographer and Dancer Maria Nilsson Waller (Flora Fauna Project) re-directed her focus to Dance.

Flora Fauna Project continues to grow and expand, with workshops at D-Light Studios and Dance Ireland with 25 women from Ballybough and Sheriff st in 2019-2020, 2 live dance platforms 2019/2020 and an online innovative Dance platform called ROOM presenting dance artists whose practice led to remarkable and meaningful community collaborations. Our Duet and my Contemporary Dance debut LUMEN was previewed at Ballina Arts Centre 2019 and premiered the same year at D-Light Studios.

Since 2017 she has been awarded Dance residencies and funding throughout Sweden and Ireland: Dance Orebro / Sjoanangen 2020, Konstnarsnamnden/Stockholm 2019, Dance Ireland 2019, Rikstearten/Stockholm 2018, HATCH Dance Ireland 2017. Flora Fauna Project are Dance Artists in Residence with the Arts Council and D-Light Studios since 2019. Flora Fauna Project’s ‘The River’ was performed in March 2020 after 4 months training 25 women from Ballbough and Sheriff St GAA for Ma’s in partnership with D-Light Studios, the NEIC, Dance Ireland and Project Arts Centre.
