Liz Roche

Liz Roche is co-founder and Artistic Director of Dublin based dance company Liz Roche Company.
Supported by The Arts Council, Culture Ireland and Dublin City Council, Liz Roche company has produced and toured over 25 of her works, performing throughout Ireland and internationally at prestigious venues and festivals including the Baryshnikov Arts Centre and Irish Arts Center, New York, Solas Nua in Washington D.C, South Bank Centre, London, Abbey Theatre, National Gallery of Ireland, Dublin Dance Festival, Uzes Danse Festival, Edinburgh Fringe, Meet in Beijing Festival and Powerhouse Brisbane.
In 2020 Liz was elected to Aosdána in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the creative arts in Ireland and was recently named by The Irish Times as one of the seventy Irish women who have shaped Irish culture. As a dancer she performed with choreographer’s John Jasperse (US), Jodi Melnick (US), Rosemary Butcher (UK), Christine Gaigg (Vienna), Helene Cathala & Fabrice Ramalingom (FR), David Bolger (Ire), John Scott (Ire). She was a Modul-dance artist from 2011 – 2014. Liz has also worked extensively in opera and theatre in Europe.
