Tipperary Arts Hub presents SPLASH Lab /
Open Call for Tipperary based artists:
Artists of all disciplines* are invited to apply for participation in SPLASH LAB, a process-based 6-day encounter in Clonmel, 7-12 July 2025 as part of Clonmel Junction Arts Festival.
What is SPLASH LAB?
SPLASH LAB, a Tipperary Dance initiative, will be a process-based 6-day encounter that will include roundtables, reflection workshops and an artist research laboratory gathering local, national and international artists of diverse disciplines for an intensive residency of collaborative, creative experimentation and cross-pollination within the context of Tipperary Dance’s Splash Alliance and Clonmel Junction Arts Festival, supported by South Tipperary Arts Centre and Finding a Voice.
The aims of SPLASH LAB are: to focus on artistic development, research and creation, to explore interdisciplinary collaboration through cultivating creative collisions and cross-cultural collaborations, to experiment with new ideas and forms, to make connections and learnings that accelerate ideas, with original outcomes based on the unique combination of art forms and artists.
SPLASH LAB will culminate on day 6 with an open workshop + outdoor showcase performances on Kickham Plaza on 12th July as part of Clonmel Junction Arts Festival 2025.
What/who is Tipperary Arts Hub?
Tipperary Arts Hub aims to strengthen the collaboration between four key arts organisations in this region of Co Tipperary. By sharing our collective expertise and resources, and working together we aim to enrich the ecology of the arts in Tipperary, creating new opportunities for artists, increasing public engagement, resulting in higher visibility of the arts in the region.
Who is this OPEN CALL for?
This is an opportunity for Two Tipperary based artists* to take part in this 6-day residency of exploration and experimentation with contemporary dancers (national and international).
Applicants MUST be domiciled in Co Tipperary and MUST be available to be in Clonmel for the duration of the residency (7 -12 July inclusive). Each selected artist will receive a fee of €600 to support their participation for this 6-day residency.
* Eligible artists/disciplines include: visual artists, multi-disciplinary artists, writers, poets, musicians, composers, theatre practitioners.

Late applications will not be accepted. Please read the guidelines carefully. Applications will be assessed by an panel representing all project partners. The decision of the project partners is final.
