This year Tipperary Dance International Festival 2023 is offering the following bursaries: 

• 6 x Masterclass Programme Bursaries for artists based in the island of Ireland
• 2 x Masterclass Programme Bursaries for international artists based outside of Ireland

What is the Tipperary Dance masterclass programme?

• For many years now, Tipperary Dance has been proposing a programme of masterclasses taking place in the context of Tipperary Dance International festival.
• The 2023 Masterclass Programme will be 4 days-long, from the 11/10 to the 14/10. It will take place in different locations in County Tipperary.
• Most classes are mentored by renowned international choreographers/dancers who present/perform their work at the festival.
• All masterclasses are 2- 3 hours long.
• This programme is one of the very few opportunities in Ireland to approach and discover the work of different artists in the studio and on stage. In many cases, they are coming for the first time to Ireland.
• The Masterclass Programme also offers the opportunity to share time with peers and engage with research and practice, while learning with some of the most exciting artists of the moment, as well as the opportunity to attend other events at the festival: performances, National Platform, and more.

To be eligible for a bursary, you must fulfil all the following conditions:

• You are a professional contemporary dance artist or dance graduate student.
• You are prepared to travel to Tipperary and commit to staying for the entire programme.
• If you are coming from outside Ireland, you must have sufficient funds to cover your travel to Ireland, and all the necessary documents/visa to enter the country.

Deadline:

• Applications will close the 05 September 2023, 18:00 GMT.
• Applications submitted after the deadline will be ineligible.
