Tipperary Dance’s international partnerships programme supports the internationalisation of Irish-based artists in partnership with various venues/centres across Europe. We are delighted to open a call for a two-weeks residence at La Caldera, Barcelona (www.lacaldera.info). An opportunity to develop your work in one of the leading centres for creation residences in Spain, and grow your international connections.
Conditions
The residence will take place from the 25 January to the 05 February 2027 in La Caldera, Barcelona, Spain
Applications that do not meet the conditions will not be assessed. Please read the following carefully. In order to be eligible you need to be officially resident in Ireland (ROI or Northern Ireland). This studio residency can support a maximum of two participants. Travel and subsistence will be covered by Tipperary Dance. Studio and accommodation will be provided by our partner La Caldera. The partners do not have the capacity to support fees for this residence. However, the recipient of the bursary will receive an artist seed funding of €500 per participant. This call is mainly aimed to artists who are already working within a framework of support/funding allowing them to develop their project.
Preparing your application
Submit your application by completing the form below in this page. In order to complete the form you will need to prepare the following: a bio (max. 800 characters), a CV (doc or pdf file, max. 3 MB), a portrait photo (max. 5 MB), a URL link to a video of your work, a description of your project (max. 800 characters), a description of your projected plan for the residence (max. 500 characters), a brief description of your support network (partners, funding awards, residences, performance dates – max. 500 characters), a simple income and expenditure budget showing that you have the capacity to support the residency (xls or pdf file). All the other prompts in the form are straightforward and can be completed on the fly. Incomplete applications or applications that do not fulfil the requested information will be ineligible.
Assessment process
The applications will be assessed by a panel including collaborators of Tipperary Dance and La Caldera. The panel will favour applications that demonstrate the capacity to sustain an artistic project and bring it to completion, with existing supports in place such as partnerships, residences, funding awards, performance dates, etc. It is focused on artists who already have experience with creation and dissemination and have reached the point where they need to broaden their network of partners internationally.

16 October 2026 at 6.30 pm, applications submitted past this deadline will not be considered.
