This open call is directed to Irish and dance artists / choreographers based in the island of Ireland who would like to showcase their work to European presenters and a general audience as part of a National Dance Platform (NDP) to be held during Tipperary Dance International Festival 2023.
The performances will take place in a low-tech environment at Kickham Barracks Chapel, Clonmel, on the afternoon of Saturday 14 October, 2023.
The platform aims to create and/or enrich an international context for Irish and Ireland-based dance artists/choreographers.
The Platform will include 3-4 showcase performances.
Work must be a maximum of 20 minutes & low tech. It can be either an advanced work-in-progress, a piece extract, or a full piece with minimal technical requirements. There will be no stage lighting available and the venue has natural daylight.
The Platform will also include a pitching session by a selection of Irish(-based) artists and a forum.
