We are thrilled to see Isabella joining a residency with our international partner Centre de Création Chorégraphique Luxembourgeois TROIS C-L, 20th May - 3rd June 2022.
Further to her presentation at Tipperary Dance’s internationalisation platform Spotlight Ireland 2020, Isabella was awarded a residency at TROIS C-L.
Her proposal is a research project, ‘Bodies of Water’, which explores aspects of the question "How can the agency of dance expand in relation to the now heightened complexities of the 21st Century - environment, health and global connectivity?", using the essay ‘Hydrofeminism: Or, On Becoming a Body of Water’ by Astrid Neimanis as a starting point.

Isabella Oberländer engages with choreographic processes that embrace the advocacy of the dancing body. All the while working to explore a visceral articulation of physicality and thought. Oberländer’s practice is guided by ongoing fascinations with identity/intersectional feminist politics, performativity and otherness.
