SPLASH encompasses Tipperary Dance’s international alliances, a number of fluid bilateral partnerships with friend organisations in Germany, Canary Islands, Catalunya, Belgium, Luxembourg, France and the US. They enable Tipperary Dance to support a flow of international exchanges that offer access to residencies, performances and laboratories. This instrument for internationalisation is essential nowadays to increase the capacity of artists to reflect, create and disseminate, and to build a community where they can grow a sense of peer support.
Partnerships rotate dynamically and have included: Tanztendenz (Munich), Trois C-L (Luxembourg), Le Grand Studio (Brussels), Tenerife LAV, Teatro Victoria (Tenerife), La Caldera (Barcelona), Compagnie Marie Lenfant (Le Mans), Culture Mill (Saxapahaw), South Tipperary Arts Centre (Clonmel), The Source Arts Centre (Thurles).

The National Dance Residency partnership provides a networked support to choreographers in the production of new dance work. By coming together, the partners acknowledge that our collective infrastructure and resources can go further and encourage more ambition in the dance sector. Through this award, it is our intention to open up the model of making dance work in Ireland by de-centralising opportunities throughout the country, whilst building networked production models supported by a strong partnership infrastructure.
