Aoife Barrett is a multi-disciplinary artist and printmaker from Co. Tipperary with a career that spans artistic creation, education and community engagement. Aoife’s socially engaged arts practice centres on printmaking and collaboration, which she actively promotes through her travelling print studio, Print Van Go. Print Van Go aims to make printmaking more accessible to a wider audience by bringing printmaking directly into communities. It is driven by a desire to connect with people and places, to spark dialogue on social issues and share the healing power of art.

Themes of her practice focus on cultures of care and inter-generational human experiences. Recent work is structured around creating spaces that inspire and deliver collective acts of restorative kindness (ARKs) by embracing connections which sustain and nurture us as individuals and communities.

Aoife holds a BA (Hons) Degree in Fine Art Printmaking from Limerick School of Art and Design (2010) and MA in Multi-Disciplinary Printmaking from the University of the West of England (2015). She also holds a BA (Hons) Degree in Archaeology from the University College Cork (2006). She is the recipient of multiple awards including Cork City Council Artist Bursary Award (2025); Creative Ireland Tipperary Project Award (2025); the Arts Council Young People, Children and Education Bursary Award (2024); Create Artist in Community Research and Development Award (2023); the Arts Council Arts Participation Bursary Award (2022).
