Tremors evokes the forces of tectonic plates and the fragility of aging bodies. In search for spontaneous joy and unexpected sensations, it rejects commodification, focusing instead on embodiment through a blend of reason and wild intuition, a magical realism that eroticizes the world and honours reality. It cultivates a playful virtuosity of presence with self, others, and our surroundings, reflecting ecosystemic slowness.
Our response to the horizontal acceleration of time that comes with age is to intensify our attention, to enable a gentle internal transformation that extends to audiences. Tremors imagines dance as a communal, attentive practice: redemption through presence and listening. Harmonics emerging from the chaos of dynamic, opposing forces, and our singular ability to blend fury and tenderness in a single gesture.
