This collection, carefully selected in partnership with and presented by Numeridanse, showcases a series of extracts from international dance works. You probably know some of the names: Saburo Teshigawara, Marco Da Silva Fereira, Akram Khan… If you don’t, now’s your chance to find out!

These works find their strength and their shape in a need to revisit the environment we live in: a thirst for justice, a reaction to the emergencies around us, an anger at inequalities… In many cases, a need to build common ground.

What these works have in common is they challenge borders. Curiosity and an observant eye are all we need to build bridges across our differences and indifferences, and cut through the partitions that divide people, nations, spaces, bodies.

This series of short extracts is intended to whet your appetite. Not just your appetite for dance: your appetite for the world, in all its diversity.
